The LIGHT Of OMNIPRESENCE
Oneness....Allness...Wholeness....
Present...Everywhere...Simultaneously.
Omnipresent. It's incredible, this idea that GOD resides in such a manner. It takes some getting use to and wrapping around our powerful but barely tapped minds. We encounter this notion early on as we begin to learn and experience The Powerful , All Knowing Being known as God, Yahweh, Jehovah and countless other monikers. “He Is everywhere and sees all things.” We wrestle with images of what that may look like or encompass. Does that mean He is standing near me always? Looming at me from secret corners or hovering above invisibly? Does this mean He sits up high in the Universe and has sight like the ancient Nordic god, Heimdall, who can see throughout the cosmos with without every leaving His station. I have even had an experience where I was used as a viewing vessel for God to interact and speak to others. How about you?
Studying this magnificent ideal, I was lead to, no shock for me lol, quantum physics. I have long enjoyed The Creator side of God and am always so fascinated with How He really can be found, proved, worshipped, appreciated and adored in EVERYTHING. Every seed that pushes through soil, every change in weather, every innovation that defies the previous and especially in every ray of Light.
LIGHT. How often does His Word speak of it? Scriptures upon scriptures, texts upon texts speaks of Its Glory. Even Christ literally being named THE LIGHT of the world. Here is where I have learned the vastness and depth of God being THE LIGHT.
Below is a video, if you are up for watching, with someone who has transitioned his evangelizing to the explanation of God through quantum physics. Photons. One of the smallest particles we know of led him to just how OMNIPRESENT God truly is. No, not hovering or viewing us from Heaven – but LITERALLY in our VERY MAKEUP there lies the LIGHT. Photons give and take in light in order to make atoms live/operate. Without light, nothing would be. We are made in his image, therefore full of His Light. As the previous devotion from Melinda stated, He is literally with us at all times. Coursing through our cellular and molecular makeup. God. The All knowing One. The Lover of our souls. The Redeemer. The One wo heals. Just. Incredible!
But, you know me, I had a final question for God, “Then how is it that we can experience darkness? Or walk away from light?”
Even in the Darkness – Light still exists. Darkness is the absence of VISIBLE light. When we walk away from the Light, we are believing the Lie, as was said previously. We allow our LIGHT, our life giving source to go dim – to no longer reflect that which God created us to reflect (His Image) all around us and in us and with us all the time! even spiritually…a death begins.
I encourage you to scan the scriptures referring to Light and read them now knowing this depth of His Presence! Oh how their meaning shifts and forms and TRANSFORMS our experience!
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” -John 8:12
"And this is the message which we have heard from him and announce unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all" (I John 1:5).
“Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens above—what can you do? They are deeper than the depths below—what can you know? Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea. (Job 7-9)
