Omnipresence God is everywhere all the time. Before anything came into being, God is. Genesis reminds us of His infinite wisdom, how the Spirit of God moved... then, He said... and God saw that it was good. I thought about John 1:1-6 and his intimate account on being present with Jesus throughout His ministry. John's details provoke followers of Jesus to remember the powerful, ever-present existence of the Master.
Not only the miracles He performed, but to know with full assurance of who He is. John also solidifies this concept in chapter 20:29 when Jesus spoke with Thomas in saying, "because you have seen me, you believed: blessed are they that have not seen me, and yet have believed." Yes, we know that He is God, and a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. I identify with Him because I was created by Him, in his likeness and image.
It is in Him that we live and move and have our very being. I am nothing without Him, I exist because He exists forever. Isaiah 57:16 refers to the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity and is with him that is of a contrite and humble spirit. God is present with the hurting, the lost, the broken, oppressed, impoverished; for his eyes are everywhere beholding the evil and the good.
Because He is with us, we can change our circumstances and see ourselves as no longer suffering, but overcomers, victorious, healed, and delivered. I enjoyed how Nies makes reference in the foreword, 'If you want to be with me, I want to be with you.' How evident Holy Spirit makes this possible with every living creature. It is His air that we breathe. Yes, we are all filled with His breath. As long as there is breath in our bodies, there is hope, there is strength, there is love.
For we are all part of God's body and loving creation.
